Myself along with 2 friends have got hold of a premises on City Road.. It will be called Alekano and we’ll be hosting parties involving art, music, poetry and more. I’ll keep you posted with our progress, should be good.
Last week i kept noticing these 2 extra bright stars, i took photos and then after some research i found out that they were in fact Jupiter and Venus.

If you happen to find yourself on the munchies in amsterdam then go to the market where you’ll find my aunt selling this product which i designed the logo for.
It’s organic pasta sauce so make sure you have some pasta to go with it instead of eating it out of the jar.

Today i was given a scanner so i started to scan some drawings from my teens..
This drawing was about containing my emotions and being on the game of life and experiencing patience.. It had other meanings too that i can’t fully remember about life, death and birth.

The ‘Chaos & Order’ show at the Alekano Gallery was cool. Nice to see people chilling out in
the gallery as opposed to waltzing in and out. I got to display some works that i don’t usually

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is another character we see a lot in the news. Many of us don’t understand what he says but the picture painted of him is that he is a threat to the west. There are those who say that he is anything but a threat thus bringing his alledged intentions into a pendulum effect.
Good guy or bad guy? Sounds a bit like the days of wrestling when men were given roles to play in order to get the crowd hyped up. The same goes with Mr. Bush, often he’s booed sometimes he’s cheered, politics has become the biggest show on earth.

There were so many different reports about Osama Bin Laden’s status that it almost became comical. Some said he was dead, some said was alive, some said he was here and some said he was there. Stories unfolded and so did the mystery behind this character, our imagination was were he resided. So i’ve compared him to the theatrics of a 90′s wrestling star. I did this because wrestlers put on a show for the viewers and had to beef up the character with shit storylines and acting. Politics to me seems quite theatrical.

I had a lot of fun making these images, they are of 3 notorious characters that we hear of in the mainstream media. We are told negative things about them and slowly we begin to fear them or dislike their policies. Andy Warhol painted images of Marylin after she died and those images celebrated a woman who was much loved all round. So i’ve taken a similar technique and applied it to much disliked people. In a way i’m challenging the presuppositions of the viewer that were most likely shaped by the mainstream media.
They will probably go to print later in the summer so let me know if you want to pre order.
